Found Items

Hello blogger friends...

If any of you are on Reddit, I started a new sub. It's barely a day old, so don't expect to see a huge amount over there- yet.

But, feel free to post there if you are a redditor.

It's pretty open ended. Just post stories or links, or better yet pictures of noteworthy things you've found.

I'm expecting this to kinda be a hodgepodge of artifacts, buried items, interesting garbage, animal remains, and misplaced belongings- but I'd love to see what kind of odd discoveries people make.

I came up with the idea when a day or two ago- I had gone back in the woods to my spot to add a recent squirrel to my compost bin... I took a different route home than I normally do and saw these all over the ground:

A bunch of antique bottles I found in the woods behind my house.
Here's the first thing I posted over at r/FoundItems... A bunch of antique bottles I found in the woods behind our neighborhood. Apparently almost half a century ago, people were dumping all their glass in the ravines back there. Some of these finds are worth a little bit of money!
EDIT: the sub is gaining some traction! It's not huge (and I'm okay with the idea of it never being huge), but somebody else posted some cool finds from their metal detector.

Quick Sketch of a Spider

How do you like spiders? I already did one spider appreciation post, but one isn't enough. This is a spider sketch with a horror twist.

We are all caught in the same web.

a poorly drawn spider with lots of humans caught in its web
Turns out I like doing crappy sketches
