IF my dad comes home safe, I'll let this squirrel live.

Hear that god? Or karma? or whatever. Dad makes it home, this squirrel gets to eat some more nuts.

Dad doesn't make it home? This squirrel bites the dust.

a squirrel in a havahart trap, my captive. I better get good news.
This squirrel stays in the cage, until I hear one way or the other about my dad.

Even if God doesn't exist, maybe all you stupid fuckign haters wishing horrible things on my dad will think twice.

But guess what I'm a man of my word. As much as I wanna take out this mood on that little squirrel, I will absolutely let it live if Dad comes home.

UPDATE: It didn't work. This squirrel is fucking toast.

WHAT THE FUCK! NO NO NO NO

Dad and I were working out there (ALONE, because dipshit Joe said no when I asked him to help) and dad had a fucking heart attack while he was leaning over the peas.

I don't know what to do.

Fuck.

I don't know what to do. I wanna fucking... Do something. But I can't do anything.

They rushed him away in an ambulance, and I wanted to ride with them but they said no.

And it didn't look good.

I don't believe in God but right now I'm trying to pray anyway, because I'm stuck here waiting.

FUUUUCK

And the cherry on top? Joe refused to help us garden, and I know that's probably racing through dad's mind right now.

It's a beautiful day- perfect for gardening with Dad!

I've been weeding with dad all morning, and we planted the rosemary bush I gave dad last weekend for father's day!

It's gorgeous out there today, nothing can bring me down! The sun is shining, the plants are green (or sometimes purple)...

Pea flower!
... and life is good! Being with dad makes me feel proud. We pulled up buckets of weeds, and the garden is looking pretty healthy.

The artichoke I didn't pull is doing really good. the peas are doing so great they are overshadowing the carrots. The beets are doing great too.

Anyway, dad and I are only in for a moment, grabbing a quick lunch (PBJ FTW) and then we are going back out to trim the peas so the carrots can get some light. I think we might also harvest beet greens for dinner tonight! Maybe I'll take a stab at dad's favorite recipe.

Either way, I'm gonna ask my brother to help us for the second part of the day, and I've got a great feeling about. It's too nice of a day for him to say no.
